This is to notify that on 13 January 2017 the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved the amendments to 70 mutual funds in order to comply with the Capital Market Supervisory Board’s regulation number Tor Nor 87/2558, the SEC’s regulation number Sor Nor 64/2558 and SEC’s letter number Gor Nor (Wor) 29/2559.

1.    To be effective on 16 January 2017
       1.1.    Additional details regarding definitions, investment policy, investment universe and allocation limit
2.    To be effective on 3 April 2017
       2.1.    Adding Basel III bond, sukuk, convertible bond, equity, derivative warrant, repurchase agreement and security lending to list of permissible assets and transactions
       2.2.    Removing limit for investing into any single mutual fund (from originally no more than 10% of Net Asset Value (NAV) if the target fund is Thai mutual fund and no more than 15% of NAV if the target fund is foreign mutual fund)
       2.3.    Increasing list of permissible Thai assets that foreign investment fund can invest in up to 20% of its NAV from originally limited to short term fixed income and deposit for operational purpose only
3.    To be effective on 2 May 2017
       3.1.    Adding infrastructure fund, non-investment grade and unrated fixed income and derivative for non-hedging purpose to list of permissible assets and transactions
       3.2.    Removing total investment limit in Thai mutual funds (from originally no more than 20% of NAV)
       3.3.    Increasing total investment limit in non-investment grade and unrated fixed incomes from no more than 15% of NAV to no more than 20% of NAV
       3.4.    Increasing total investment limit in property funds and REITS from no more than 15% of NAV to no more than 20% of NAV
