Announcement Changes to the Benchmark Index of SCBBLNFUND

       SCB Asset Management Company Limited (the Management Company) would like to inform all unitholders that the Management Company has received approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand (SEC) on 26 February 2020 to change the benchmark index of SCB BILLIONAIRE FUND (SCBBLNFUND) from iBillionaire Index to Solactive US Top Billionaire Investors Index due to iBillionaire Index’s planned cessation of operations on 31 March 2020. 

       Both the Solactive US Top Billionaire Investors Index and the iBillionaire Index select US Billionaires’ portfolios and securities to construct the indices with similar methodologies, thus the change of SCBBLNFUND’s benchmark index will not affect the management of the fund in any manner.

Selection Criteria for the Investment Universe Selection Criteria for the Index Constituents่
  • US Billionaires’ portfolios are selected from 13F filing submissions
  • The portfolio selected must have a total asset value of no less than 1 billion US Dollar and has a Turnover of less than 50%
  • The investment universe of US Billionaires’ portfolios will be re-evaluated annually 
  • 30 securities are selected by proportion of allocation in the portfolios that performed best in the past 3 years
  • The security selected must have a market value of no less than 1 billion US Dollar and is registered in the stock exchanges in the United States
  • Selected securities will be equal-weighted as index constituents
  • The index constituents will be rebalanced quarterly

 

       The above policy amendment will be in effect from 17 March 2020 onwards.
