Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) First Executive Vice President and Head of the Retail Segment Phanporn Kongyingyong (Center) introduces SCB PromptPay service, a new way to receive payments and make fund transfers in line with the government's policy of facilitating financial transactions between bank accounts or even across different bank accounts by linking a mobile phone number and citizen ID number with a bank account number. With SCB PromptPay service, customers can also receive payments from government agencies directly to their accounts. The service is fast, convenient, and secure – without the risks that come with carrying cash. To register for SCB PromptPay, customers can conveniently link their mobile phone number and citizen ID number to an SCB deposit account. The bank has special booths at over 700 branches nationwide promoting SCB PromptPay, with bank staff ready to assist customers with information and registration assistance. A “Get a chance to win gold every month with SCB PromptPay” promotional campaign is also in place for customers registering for the service, giving them a chance to win a gold necklace from now until October 31, 2016. Prizes are worth 25 million baht in total.
